The Selection of Games at Resorts World Birmingham

As you’d expect from a resort of this size, the range of games is absolutely comprehensive, meaning that every player will be able to find something they like. Table games are the staple of most casinos, and Resorts World Birmingham offers 31 different tables, which feature games such as American roulette, blackjack, baccarat and three card poker. Tables are found outside as well, which is great for those who want to smoke while they gamble.

Slot machines also make up a large proportion of the games in the casino, and there are over 100 for players to use. The jackpots at these slots are also huge, with many linked machines offering a jackpot worth up to £20,000. When this is combined with the 60 electronic roulette machines, as well as interactive blackjack and three card poker games, it’s clear that fans of electronic gambling machines should be in their element. Poker shouldn’t be forgotten either, as there is a dedicated poker room, which is open five nights a week. The casino also holds regular tournaments, with some being completely free to enter.

It’s one of a growing number of “supercasinos” opening their doors around the country, and features more than just loads of ways to gamble.

The Other Facilities at Resorts World Birmingham

The casino is situated within a huge resort, which has absolutely loads to do. In fact, it would easily be possible to spend a day there without even setting foot in the casino. Fans of shopping will find a huge mall with all kinds of famous stores; movie buffs can pay a visit to the 11 screen cinema; and those looking to relax can unwind at the resort’s spa. If you want to stay overnight, there’s also a 4-star hotel on site.

When it comes to eating, there are also loads of options. These range from fast food outlets through to restaurants like Las Iguanas and Gourmet Burger Kitchen. Those looking for a drink can nip into Starbucks or Costa, however those looking for something stronger can head to one of the many bars, such as the World Bar and the Sky Bar. The resort really does have everything you could ever possibly want, which is probably why it is so popular with visitors.

The Pros and Cons of Visiting This Casino

< Resort World Birmingham

The biggest pro to this casino is the fact that it isn’t just a casino – it is a complete resort, full of shops, restaurants and other entertainment options. This means that you don’t have to spend all your time gambling, and can also bring the whole family along on the trip. Of course, some won’t like this move away from a pure gambling experience, however there are other casinos in Birmingham that should be more to their taste. The huge amount of things to do can also be quite a strain on the wallet, especially when bringing an entire family.

When it comes to the casino itself, there really are no criticisms to be made. All of the games you’d expect to find at a casino are there, and what’s more, there are enough tables to ensure that waiting for a seat is a rarity. The selection of slots and electronic gaming machines is also the best outside of London, plus they also offer some really nice jackpots.

A History of Resorts World Birmingham

There’s really not a lot to say when it comes to the history of this casino, as it was only opened in 2015. Its parent company, Genting, does have a longer history though, as it was formed in Malaysia in 1965. Since its formation, it has owned and operated casinos in countries including Australia, Singapore and, of course, the UK. It is also currently constructing a Resorts World in Las Vegas, with plans in place for it to open in 2019.

The Resorts World in Birmingham was the fourth resort of this chain opened by the company, after Manila, Singapore and New York. It does own a large number of other casinos in the UK though, which usually trade under the Genting Casino brand.
