Rugby League

The UK Super League is the professional rugby league competition in the UK, with 14 teams consisting of 13 from Britain and 1 from France. It is the biggest rugby league contest in Europe, but struggles to compete with both soccer and rugby union for the affections of the public.

UK Super League Bets

UK Super League bets include 3-way game betting, 2-way game betting, and prop bets like 1st half betting. If you really like betting on rugby league, we would actually recommend you try NRL betting instead, as it tends to offer a lot of proposition betting opportunities.

If you are set on UK Super League bets, though, we suggest 2-way game betting is the superior option. This is also known as winning margin betting or spread betting, and it uses a handicap to make for more balanced chances for each team. With the unbalanced nature of the UK Super League, you are generally better off placing bets on winning margins as the odds on the winner can otherwise be far too short to bother with.

UK Super League Grand Finals and Winning Teams

There are just a handful of teams that tend to dominate the UK Super League: St Helens, Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors, and Bradford Bulls.

St Helens has played in 8 UK Super League Grand Finals since they began in 1998, and won 4 times.

Leeds Rhinos has played in 6 UK Super League Grand Finals and won 4 times, including a 3 win streak from 2007 through 2009.

Wigan Warriors has played in 5 UK Super League Grand Finals and won twice, including in the 2010 season.

Bradford Bulls has played in 6 UK Super League Grand Finals and won 3 times, but it has not reached the Grand Final since 2005.

Bets on the chances of these teams to win the Grand Final are usually available months before the UK Super League even starts for the year. If the odds look good for any of these teams, we suggest taking the bet while the odds are much longer than they will be later in the season.

UK Super League Betting

UK Super League betting will be easy enough to find at any of the UK focused bookmakers unlike NRL Odds that we feature in our review pages. Again, we think betting on the NRL is a better option for rugby league fans, but you should easily be able to support your favourite UK Super League team at generous odds by joining betting sites for UK punters.
