Super Rugby
Super Rugby is the premiere rugby union competition in the Southern Hemisphere, comprising teams from Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa. While it has been known by many numbers over the past decade, the organizers have finally wised up after the Super 14 became the Super 15 within a couple of years, and now the competition is simply referred to as Super Rugby.
Super Rugby Bets
Super Rugby bets include the usual straight up bets on match results and winning margins, but Australians are also fond of first try scorer bets and other exotic bets.
Between the nations, the Super Rugby competition is very well-balanced these days between New Zealand and South Africa. For Australia, the best athletes tend to go into rugby league instead, but Australian teams do still occasionally make it into the Super Rugby Grand Final. We're sure you can imagine that plenty of Super Rugby bets get placed when that happens.
Super Rugby Odds
You will be unlikely to find Super Rugby odds at sportsbooks that do not focus on Australia, New Zealand or South Africa. Obviously, American bookmakers are the least likely, but even European bookies will be a long chance of offering decent Super Rugby odds if other rugby union events are available. This is quite understandable, and if you are lucky you may find some Super Rugby futures in the odds at a UK bookmaker. We would also recommend looking in online betting exchanges like Betfair for Super Rugby odds.
Super Rugby Betting
We think it's worth looking at the odds on the betting sites in our review pages for Super Rugby betting, but you will need to choose carefully. Aim for bookmakers with a southerly connection - you're probably onto a winner for Super Rugby betting if they accept Australian dollars, New Zealand dollars, or South African Rand.
