Big Five Blackjack

Online Blackjack at All Slots Casino

Big Five Blackjack is one of the newest additions to the illustrious list of Blackjack variations. The game distances itself from many of the more popular versions, such as Vegas Strip and Atlantic City, and instead relies upon a different playing style to intrigue online gambling fans.

The game is played with, as the name suggests, five decks of cards; the house edge isn't as low as something like Vegas Downtown, but it gives much better odds for hitting specific cards than the standard game. There aren't too many new rules that you will need to familiarize yourself with before you start playing, but a rundown of the basics is necessary if you are keen on winning big at the tables.

Big Five is not a hole game, so there is no need for the dealer to peek at the beginning of the game. In addition, the rules state that the dealer must always Hit on Soft 17.

Doubling Down is available on any two hands that the player may receive, and a Double can even be made after a Split. Splits can also be made on a pair of Aces; however, once the Aces are split, only one more card will be dealt for each Split Ace. If the additional card is of 10-point value, then it will be counted as 21, not Natural Blackjack.

Early Surrender is an additional option at Big Five, where the player can leave their hand early while still retaining half of their initial wager.

The only instance in which a player cannot call an Early Surrender is when the dealer is showing an Ace.

While still a new iteration, Big Five Blackjack can be played at several online casinos. If you aren't sure where to start looking, have a read of some of our online casino reviews for information on the best online gambling venues.
